Aura Dating Community Guidelines

Welcome to Aura Dating! To foster a safe, respectful, and authentic community, we’ve created these Community Guidelines. These Community Guidelines are incorporated into and form part of Aura Dating’s Terms of Service. Violations may result in account actions as described in the Terms of Service.

1. Safety

Your safety is our top priority. While Aura Dating provides tools like identity verification, geolocation-based service restrictions, and in-app reporting and blocking, your interactions are ultimately your responsibility. Please exercise good judgment and caution, especially when communicating with or deciding to meet other users.

• Be cautious when deciding to meet someone in person. Always meet in well-lit, public spaces, and let a trusted friend or family member know your plans.
• Use our blocking and reporting tools to manage inappropriate encounters or report concerning behavior.
• Users who feel unsafe or believe a crime has occurred should contact law enforcement immediately.

2. Respectful Behavior

We believe in fostering a positive and inclusive environment for everyone. To ensure respectful interactions:

• Treat all users with courtesy, kindness, and respect during video calls, text chats, and offline meetups.
• Hate speech, harassment, or threats of any kind, whether explicit or implicit, are strictly prohibited.
• Do not use the platform for bullying, abusive language, stalking, or intimidating others based on their gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, religion, disability, age, or other personal characteristics.
• Elevator-pitch rule: Keep the conversation focused on meaningful communication, and avoid unwarranted comments on someone’s appearance unless appropriate within context.

3. Prohibited Content

To maintain a safe and enjoyable experience, users are prohibited from sharing or submitting the following content on their profiles, during video calls, or in text chats:

• Illegal or offensive content: This includes, but is not limited to, explicit sexual material, graphic violence, vulgar or obscene imagery, promotion or depiction of illegal activities, or weapons.
• Harmful misinformation or fraud: This includes fake profiles, impersonation of others, or soliciting money, gifts, or financial aid under false pretenses.
• Unauthorized recording or distribution: Users may not unlawfully record or distribute user information, video calls, or conversations. Video calls are not recorded by Aura Dating, and users are not permitted to record calls. Any unauthorized recording is a violation.
• Spam or solicitation: Links to third-party services, promotional material, or requests for money are not allowed.

4. Identity and Authenticity

Aura Dating is a platform built on trust and authenticity. All users must use their real names and authentic images. To ensure integrity, we request the following:

• Photo or selfie verification: All users may complete the identity verification process before using the app’s matching features. Your verification status will appear on your profile.
• No catfishing or fake profiles: You are not allowed to impersonate others or use someone else’s image, likeness, or biographical details in your profile.
• Any misrepresentation, including name, age, or location, may lead to immediate action against your account.

5. Video Call Conduct

Our video-first matching feature is designed to foster genuine connections. To keep video call experiences safe and respectful:

• Dress and behave appropriately. Avoid nudity, sexually explicit behavior, harassment, intimidation, or any other inappropriate conduct.
• Do not record or capture video calls. Privacy is paramount. Unauthorized recording or sharing of another user’s likeness, voice, or any part of the call is a serious violation.
• Maintain a focus on meaningful and conversational dialogue. Avoid excessive interrogations, intrusive questions, or dismissive attitudes during video calls.
• Respect others’ boundaries. If someone asks to end the call, honor that request immediately.

6. Reporting and Blocking

We provide several tools to empower users to report problematic behavior and protect themselves:

• In-app reporting: You can use the report feature during video calls for real-time action or use post-call tools to report text interactions.
• Blocking: You can block users at any time to prevent further contact or interactions. Blocked users will no longer appear in your match queue or schedules.
• Reports of concerning behavior, such as offensive conduct or identity misrepresentation, will be reviewed by our moderation team. Verified incidents may result in account warnings, suspension, or termination.
• Repeated unethical or inappropriate behavior is taken seriously, and Aura Dating reserves the right to suspend or permanently ban users without warning.

7. Consequences for Violations

Violations of these guidelines may result in the following actions:

• Warnings: A formal notice requiring compliance with community standards.
• Suspension: Temporary disablement of account features or full access to allow an investigation or prevent further violations.
• Permanent Ban: Total removal of your account from the platform, with no possibility of reinstatement.
• Law Enforcement Escalations: Reported instances of criminal activity, including harassment, stalking, or scams, may be referred to the appropriate authorities when necessary.

Aura Dating reserves the right to determine the severity of violations and take immediate action without prior notice.

8. Safety Tips

Here are some tips to help you stay safe while using Aura Dating:

• Protect your privacy: Keep sensitive details, such as your address, phone number, financial accounts, and personal documents, private.
• Verify everything: Use Aura Dating’s identity verification system to engage with verified users.
• Keep it on Aura Dating: Avoid moving to third-party platforms, such as messaging apps or video services, unless you are confident in the other user’s intentions. Aura Dating’s features are built with your safety in mind.
• Take your time: Avoid rushing into commitments, financial assistance, or in-person meetings. Build trust gradually and maintain control over the pace of your interactions.
• Trust your instincts: If something feels wrong, use the reporting tools, block the user, and contact Aura Dating support when needed.
• Meet in public: If you choose to meet someone in person, select a public place and inform a trusted friend or family member of your plans.
